Section 1 – Easy 5k Challenge Parameters
1-Step Challenge
| Feature | Details |
|---|---|
| Profit Target | 8% |
| Daily Drawdown | 5% (End of day) |
| Max Total Drawdown | 10% trailing |
| Profit Share | 70/30 |
| Max Payout Cap | 5% |
| Payout Cycle | Bi-weekly |
| First payout | On demand |
| Consistency Rules | Funded phase only (50%) |
| Lot Size Rule | Yes (increased) |
1.1 Daily Drawdown
In the Easy 5k Challenge, the Daily Drawdown is 5% of your starting balance. This percentage is deducted from the higher of your Balance or Equity at the beginning of each day. The daily reset occurs at 17:00 EST.
Example: Suppose you have a $5,000 account. With a fixed Daily Drawdown of 5%, your equity can decrease to a minimum of $4,750. Even if your equity rises to $5,200 and then falls back to $5,000 on the same day, you can continue trading. Conversely, if your balance/equity increases to $5,200 at the end of the day, the drawdown resets at 17:00 EST to $4,950 and this becomes the new drawdown limit for the next day.
Important: Your account will breach if either the daily or maximum drawdown limit is exceeded. To mitigate risks, monitor your account dashboard consistently and ensure your strategies align with the daily and maximum drawdown parameters.
1.2 Maximum Drawdown (Max DD)
In the Easy 5k Challenge, the Maximum Drawdown is a trailing 10% of the initial account balance. The maximum drawdown follows the highest balance or equity ever reached on the account, including floating profit.
Example 1 — when you start: Starting balance $5,000, maximum drawdown 10% ($500), breach level $4,500. If your balance or equity reaches $4,500, the account is breached.
Example 2 — after making a profit: Suppose your account reaches a highest balance or equity of $5,300. The trailing drawdown amount stays at $500, so the new breach level is $4,800. Your drawdown limit has moved from $4,500 to $4,800 — it only moves upward when you reach a new high and never moves back down.
Important: Floating profit counts. If an open trade pushes your equity to a new high, the drawdown level will follow it, even if you do not close the trade.
1.3 Consistency Rule — 50% (Funded Phase Only)
The 50% consistency rule applies only during the funded phase. There is no consistency rule during the Easy 5k Challenge phase. To qualify for a payout, your largest profitable trading day must not account for more than 50% of the total profit earned during that payout cycle.
Example: If you want to request a $250 payout, total profit required is $250 and 50% of $250 is $125 — so your largest profitable day cannot exceed $125. If you make more than $125 on one day, your account will not be breached; however, you must continue trading and earn additional profit until that day represents 50% or less of your total profit.
1.4 Profit Target
The Trader must achieve a minimum profit growth of 8% in order to successfully pass the challenge phase.
1.5 No HFT
Executing 50% or more of your trades in under 2 minutes is prohibited. This includes tick scalping and High-Frequency Trading (HFT).
1.6 Position Limits
- Total open positions per asset = 5
- Total open positions per account = 13
1.7 Maximum Lot Sizes per Pair
At BloomFunded we provide maximum lot sizes for each trading pair and account size. These guidelines are designed to support proper risk management and to help protect traders from excessive exposure. Traders are strongly encouraged to remain within the maximum lot size ranges when placing trades and remain fully responsible for managing their risk at all times.
